Como su propio nombre indica, son adverbios de frecuencia, señalan la cantidad de veces que sucede algo, casi nunca, frecuentemente,a veces, siempre o casi nunca en castellano. Se suelen colocar detrás del verbo 'be' y delante del resto de verbos, no tienen gran misterio, no te preocupes. Algunos ejemplos:

-He's usually eating breakfast at this time.
-She's never been to Paris.
